The legislation of a country obviously shapes the acceptance of violence of its population and has an impact on its peacefulness. Countries with a legal ban on ALL forms of violence are more peaceful.

An open Letter to Pope Leo XIV regarding Child Corporal Punishment (physical punishment)

Famous author Alice Miller has written two letters to two former popes, asking them if they could tell believers worldwide in clear terms that violence against children should never be used. Because these letters were not answered, this one is being sent to the current pope by peace researcher Franz Jedlicka, who has found a linkage between a widespread use of physical punishment in the countries of the world and their lack of peacefulness.
