The Positive Peace Index 2023: Is an important factor missing?

To estimate the peacefulness of a country it could be important to include data regarding corporal punishment of children into the calculation of the Positive Peace Index. Franz Jedlicka argues if it is the blind spot of persons living in the USA ( #ratifycrc ), Australia, England and Mexico (the locations of the Institute of Economics and Peace), because physical punishment is not outlawed there. A consequent culture of peace surely would mean that already children are protected from violence.
